Chalk Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in North Liverpool to recruit a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology (DT) Teacher.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced DT Teacher to join this specialist setting from September on a part-time basis (3 days per week). There is flexibility with which days are worked, allowing for a better work-life balance.

You will be teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils who require additional support with their emotional wellbeing and behaviour. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, structure, and patience to the classroom, helping to inspire and engage young people through practical and vocational learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH learners
• Support pupils’ academic and personal development in a safe, nurturing environment
• Work collaboratively with a skilled team of teachers and support staff
• Track and assess progress in line with school policies

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – Essential
• Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
• A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
