Chalk Education is looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering pre-planned lessons, supervising students in the absence of their regular teacher, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment. This role is based in West Berkshire, working across a number of Secondary Schools within the area.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities across various subjects to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
• Manage classroom behaviour following the school’s behaviour policy, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
• Support students in their learning, answering questions, and clarifying instructions where needed.
• Provide feedback to teachers on class performance, including any notable achievements or areas of concern.
• Contribute to a positive school atmosphere and promote a respectful and inclusive environment.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and an approachable, patient attitude.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in a supervisory role (classroom experience is a plus but not essential).
• Ability to manage and motivate students, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Flexibility to adapt to different classes and subject areas, working as part of a team to ensure continuity in students' education.
• A passion for supporting young learners and promoting a positive school experience.
