
Description
Chalk Education are seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join secondary schools in Salford. This role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioural challenges.

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours.

Assist in implementing individualised behaviour plans and strategies.

Monitor and track student progress, reporting concerns to the SENCO and teaching staff.

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create a positive learning environment.

Engage in de-escalation techniques and support students in managing their emotions
We are looking for candidates who:

Have experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or similar needs.

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.

Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.

A full UK driving licence is preferred.
