They are currently seeking a dedicated Autism Support Worker like you!

Job description

This welcoming school boasts fantastic facilities and provides a nurturing environment for pupils aged 4 to 11 with a diverse range of SEND, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), behavioural challenges (EBD), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Autism support experience, whether personal or professional. Additional knowledge of alternative communication techniques or manual handling would be a valuable asset.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher to encourage students to participate in a variety of activities, fostering a sense of empowerment, support, and enthusiasm for learning.

As a valued member of the team, you will play an important role in safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people—helping them build confidence, develop independence, and enjoy their learning journey every step of the way!

To be considered for this Autism Support Worker role you will need:

  • Experience supporting young people with Autism & Learning Disabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A caring and positive attitude with a flexible approach

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or a willingness to apply for one (we can assist you with this!)
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
