Chalk Education is working with a dedicated SEMH provision in Stoke-on-Trent that is looking to appoint an Art Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role offering both challenge and reward in equal measure — perfect for someone who thrives on making a real impact.

The Role:

• Job Title: Art Teacher (SEMH)
• Location: Stoke-on-Trent
• Start Date: September 2025
• Pay: £120 – £180 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Contract: Full-time, ongoing

You’ll be delivering creative and therapeutic art lessons that inspire, engage, and support students who often struggle in mainstream education. Your lessons will encourage self-expression, build confidence, and provide a vital outlet for emotional development.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or a recognised teaching/training qualification such as PTLLS or QTLLS
• Proven experience working with young people who display challenging behaviour
• A genuine passion for working in alternative education settings
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, nurturing approach
• The ability to tailor lessons to individual learning needs and abilities
