Chalk Education is working closely with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Rainhill to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a KS2 classroom-based role starting this September.

The Role:

We’re looking for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant who has:

• Previous experience working in a mainstream classroom
• A solid understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Commitment to safeguarding
• Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• The ability to lead the class independently for short periods when required

This is a full-term position covering the Autumn Term, with the potential for extension. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support both the wider class and individual pupils.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a KS2 classroom setting
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A calm, patient, and flexible approach
• Experience working with pupils with additional needs, particularly ASD
