The Provision
A well‑established alternative provision attached to a North London secondary school is recruiting a resilient SEN LSA to support KS3–KS4 pupils whose primary needs are ADHD and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH). Class sizes are small (6–8 students) and the timetable blends core GCSE subjects with therapeutic and vocational sessions.
Your job: keep learning on track, regulate behaviour, and model the calm consistency these teenagers need.

- Use clear routines, positive scripting and de‑escalation techniques to defuse flashpoints
- Support teachers in adapting resources, ensuring lessons stay accessible and purposeful
- Track academic and emotional progress; log incidents quickly and accurately
- Reinforce therapeutic strategies set by the SEMH lead, counsellor and external agencies
- Escort students to off‑site enrichment and work‑experience placements when required

- Proven experience with ADHD/SEMH in a secondary or PRU/alternative provision
