Chalk are recruiting for an SEND Cover Supervisor position which is a long-term position to start in immediately and is the perfect opportunity to join an amazing school and fantastic team.

Job Description

This SEND Cover Supervisor role will involve delivering a variety of cover lessons to students within the SEN schools working at EYFS and KS1 developmentally. The pupils have a range of additional needs including autism and communication difficulties, so you must have a caring nature and flexible teaching style.

This Special School in Dudley caters for young people aged 7 to 19 who are unable to attend mainstream education due to their SEND needs. They aim to offer education in a bespoke way in a happy and safe environment, with excellent facilities.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Relevant teaching/support experience
• Qualified to degree level
• Excellent subject knowledge, specialising in English
• Experience working with children and young people with ASD
• Good behaviour management and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Positive and calm attitude

• References confirming suitability for role
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
• Eligibility to work in the UK
