1:1 Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School (South Liverpool)

Chalk Education are seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming mainstream primary school in South Liverpool.

This is a highly rewarding position, offering the chance to make a real difference to a child’s educational journey by providing consistent, tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support for a child with SEND, helping them access the curriculum.
• Adapt learning activities to meet the child’s specific needs and learning style.
• Encourage progress in both academic and social development.
• Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and parents to track progress and set goals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND (essential).
• A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach to learning support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
