Chalk Education is currently recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Liverpool.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with one child, supporting their learning, development, and emotional well-being. The school offers a supportive team environment and is committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged child with SEND
• Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs
• Support classroom activities under the direction of the class teacher
• Foster a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
• Liaise with teachers, SENDCo and external professionals to support progress

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential
