Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Waltham Forest, E17
Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day (PAYE)
Contract: ASAP start - July 2025

Role & Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Pupil Support: Provide dedicated, personalised support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with Autism (ASD), challenging behaviour, and EAL needs.
  • Tailored Interventions: Use your expertise to implement individual learning strategies that boost engagement, enhance communication, and improve academic outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Safeguarding: Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff, ensuring the student’s safety, wellbeing, and positive development at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant Experience: Previous SEND experience is essential, particularly supporting pupils with ASD and challenging behaviour.
  • Qualifications: A CACHE Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with PECS and Makaton is highly desirable.
  • Resilience & Passion: You’re patient, adaptable, and deeply committed to making a difference in a child’s educational journey.
