š SATs Week is here ā and so is Mental Health Awareness Week. š§ āØ
This week, thousands of Year 6 pupils across the UK will sit their SATs ā a milestone moment that can bring a lot of pressure for little shoulders.
š Did you know that 1 in 6 children aged 5 to 16 are likely to have a mental health problem? Around SATs season, that number can feel even more real. Stress, anxiety, and sleep disruption are all too common during this time.
At Chalk, we believe SATs do matter ā they help schools understand progress and identify areas for growth. But nothing matters more than a child’s well-being.
That’s why weāre here to support schools with flexible staffing solutions ā so teachers can focus on nurturing, not just numbers. And weāre here for the pupils, too.
š” Here are a few simple ways children can cope with SATs stress:
- Take brain breaks ā fresh air does wondersĀ š³
- Keep a calm bedtime routineĀ š“
- Talk about worries ā no fear is too small to shareĀ š¬
- Celebrate effort, not just outcomesĀ š
This Mental Health Awareness Week, letās remember: academic success should never come at the cost of emotional health.
š¤ Chalk is proud to support both ā learning and well-being.
