Celebrating NSPCC Day with a Green Twist

Last week our team celebrated NSPCC day!

Last week the Chalk Education team celebrated NSPCC day! This year, we decided to combine our support for the NSPCC with a commitment to being more eco-friendly. The result was a fantastic GREEN DAY filled with fun, creativity, and a whole lot of green!

What We Got Up To

To mark the occasion, we encouraged everyone to:

Wear green – From green shirts to accessories, our team embraced the theme with style.

Eat green – Think leafy salads, pesto pasta, and all things green on our plates.

Be more green – We shared tips and ideas on how to live an eco-friendlier lifestyle.

In the day we held a quiz that tested our knowledge, keeping us on our toes and bringing plenty of laughter! As a team, we raised a total of £83 to this incredible charity. Every penny counts, and we’re proud to contribute to such an important cause that helps protect children and young people across the UK.

How We’re Trying to Be More Green

One of the highlights of the day was hearing how our team members are making small but meaningful changes to live more sustainably. Here’s what some of us had to say:

Pav – In terms becoming more eco friendly, I recycle on a daily basis cardboard and plastics. I also get the girls to make projects at home with anything that is reusable.

Jas – I have an electric car which I drove around this week, I also recycle and I use reusable face wipes.

Sarah – I ALWAYS recycle! And recently switched my beauty products to animal friendly versions.

Vicky – I am always trying to find little ways of being more eco-friendly. This week, I have moved to ecofriendly cleaning products and laundry tablets. I also feel like I spend my free time following my children around the house turning off lights and removing the wrong items from the recycling bin

Thank You!

NSPCC Day is all about coming together to support children and young people, and by pairing it with a focus on being more eco-friendly, we’re also thinking about the future we’re creating for the next generation. After all, a greener planet means a brighter future for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and shared their eco-friendly tips. Let’s keep the green momentum going! Whether it’s recycling, switching to eco-friendly products, or simply turning off the lights, every action counts.

Here’s to a greener, kinder, and more sustainable future!
