Description
Chalk Education is seeking a caring, patient, and consistent 1:1 tutor to support a secondary-aged pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Cheshire East.
We are specifically looking for a tutor with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within UK education settings — someone who understands the structure, expectations, and support strategies used in UK schools or alternative provisions.
This role is ideal for someone who can bring warmth, structure, and clear boundaries, helping a young person remain focused, feel safe, and reach their potential. You’ll work closely with the pupil to deliver tailored learning sessions and promote confidence, independence, and positive engagement.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ UK-based experience supporting young people with additional needs
- Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 10:00–15:00)
- Must be a driver with access to a vehicle (travel may be required between sites)
- Relevant qualifications (QTS, PTTLS, QTTLS, or equivalent)
- Experience working with SEMH, ASD, or within alternative provision preferred
- A creative and flexible approach to learning — able to think outside the box
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Please note: This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
If you’re an experienced UK educator or mentor looking to make a real difference in a young person’s life, we’d love to hear from you.
