Description

Chalk Education is urgently seeking compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils in specialist SEND school.

If you have a TA qualification or experience working with children or adults with SEND, we want to hear from you!

The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a teacher to support pupils with complex special educational needs. This may involve 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 support within the classroom, helping to deliver personalised learning and behaviour strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Assisting in the delivery of individualised learning plans.
  • Building positive, supportive relationships with pupils.
  • Contributing to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEND, including ASD, SEMH, or other additional needs.
  • calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • team player who can also work independently.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in CPD.
