Are you a teaching assistant or experienced care/support worker who is able to improve outcomes for children with a wide range of needs and abilities? Can you use your passion and knowledge of learning, development and the additional needs some children may have, to support and enhance their school life?
Chalk Education is working with a number of education settings and schools in Oldham, to find staff to support their students academically, socially and pastorally.
You will be required to support teaching staff in delivering and differentiating creative and interactive lessons in an engaging way to groups of students of mixed ages and abilities and require good knowledge in supporting SEMH and behavioural needs.
Excellent behaviour management is necessary yet with a calm, caring but firm approach. You will be working alongside a supportive staff team ensuring a positive and safe learning environment is provided for all students.
Alongside the staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
The ideal candidate will:-
- have experience of supporting students/vulnerable adults within schools and/or care settings , in particular SEMH and behavioural needs

- References confirming suitability for role
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
