Teaching Assistant

Location: Knowsley, Merseyside
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £90 - £95 per day

Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting mainstream primary schools in the Knowsley area. This is a full-time, long-term position starting after the October half term, with the potential for the right candidate to secure a permanent role.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2. Your role will include helping to create a positive learning environment, assisting with classroom management, and providing individual or small group support to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development in class
• Assisting the teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
• Providing one-to-one or small group interventions where required
• Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all pupils

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting
• A passion for supporting young learners to achieve their full potential
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring and proactive attitude
• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Chalk Education
