The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team at a thriving secondary school in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to inspire a love of literature and language in young minds.

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will play a key role in driving academic excellence and supporting student progress in a well-resourced and forward-thinking English department.

Day-to-Day

• Plan and Deliver engaging lessons across the English curriculum
• Carry our a range of assessments to track pupils progress and attainment
• Coordinate with the English department to discuss plans and changes in the curriculum

• Participate in departmental planning and school-wide CPD

• Contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school literacy initiative

We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• A degree in English or a related subject

• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply)

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A commitment to continuous professional development and student succe
