Position: Teacher KS1
Pay Rate: £130 - £220 per day (DOE)
Location: Manchester
Contract Type: Long term, full time
Start Date: January 2026

Are you a enthusiastic KS1 Teacher looking for a new role in a supportive primary school? Chalk Education is working with primary schools in Gorton to appoint teachers who can deliver outstanding learning experiences across Key Stage 1. This role includes teaching full classes and providing PPA cover, helping schools maintain high-quality education for all pupils.

You will work closely with colleagues and school leadership to plan and deliver lessons across the curriculum, assess and monitor pupils’ progress, maintain high standards of behaviour, and promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience teaching KS1 in primary schools in the UK
  • Skilled in planning and delivering engaging lessons across all KS1 subjects
  • Confident providing PPA cover and managing classes effectively
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for the role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK – No visa sponsorship
