Chalk Education is recruiting two outstanding teachers to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Wigan. We are seeking passionate educators with experience in Maths, English, or Science, ready for a rewarding and dynamic role starting in September.

This is a unique opportunity to work with young people who require a nurturing, structured environment to succeed—many of whom present with challenging behaviours. The school provides a small, focused setting where relationships and trust are at the heart of learning.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers (QTS), as well as those with PTLLS or QTLLS, provided you have proven experience supporting students with complex needs and behavioural challenges.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a resilient and adaptable practitioner
• Have subject knowledge in Maths, English or Science
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management strategies
• Be committed to creating engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs
• Work well within a multidisciplinary team

This role offers a daily rate of £140–£200, depending on your qualifications and experience. It is a long-term position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
