Description
Chalk education is working with a mainstream school in Slough who is looking for an experienced mentor to join their already successful team of passionate mentors and sports coaches.
The role will involve working as a sports coach with a large portion of the role containing classroom support and supervision. You will work with individuals from troubled and challenging backgrounds and therefore those with experience working in youth centres or alternative provisions would be ideal.
To be considered:
- You will need to have experience working with teenagers from various different educational establishments. This does not need to be within a school setting and alternative SEN experience is considered.
- You will need to live locally to Slough and be willing to drive or commute depending on your distance to the school.
- You will need to be committed to the role until the end of the academic year.
- DBS on the update service.
- Reference that cover the last two years of your most recent career history.
Good communication skills and an ability to work within a team and to enable liaison with a variety of external agencies.
