The school has tasked us with finding a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant with either professional or personal experience supporting children with additional needs. Sound like you? Read on!

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll support students with a range of needs including Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Sensory Impairments, Physical Disabilities, and challenging behaviours. Every day brings new achievements, whether you're helping a student master a new skill, build their confidence, or overcome a challenge they never thought possible.

Working alongside an experienced class teacher and dedicated support team, you'll help deliver engaging, tailored learning experiences that enable every student to reach their full potential. From providing one-to-one support and leading small group activities to encouraging independence and celebrating success, you'll play a vital role in each child's educational journey. Your patience, positivity, and creativity will help create a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where students can truly thrive.

To be considered for this role, you must have prior experience supporting children or young people with SEND, either in a professional or personal capacity, as well as a valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one before starting. Experience may have been gained through childcare, tutoring, nursery settings, sports coaching, youth work, care work, education, or other relevant environments. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs is essential.
