Job: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (EYFS) – St. Helens

Hours: Full-time (Term Time Only), Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 3:30pm

Chalk Education is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at a welcoming mainstream primary school in St. Helens.

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled practitioner to provide tailored support to a child with limited speech and language needs and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions that support the child's learning, communication, and social development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children with ASD and/or speech and language difficulties, preferably in an EYFS setting
• A nurturing, patient and proactive approach to supporting individual needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
• A relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience
• A commitment to making a long-term impact in a child’s educational journey
