About the Role:
Chalk Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND secondary school in Southport. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people with a diagnosis of Autism in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning experience, helping students to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with autism in the classroom, helping them access learning and develop independence.
• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons tailored to students’ needs.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support as required.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with SEND students, particularly those with autism, is highly desirable.
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting young people’s development.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of individual students.
