SEND Teaching Assistant – South Liverpool
Location: South Liverpool
Start Date: After Half Term
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND Secondary School in South Liverpool. The school caters for young people aged 11–19 years old with a range of complex learning needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs).
About the Role:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis to help them access learning and develop life skills.
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored activities to meet individual needs.
- Promoting independence, communication and social skills through structured routines and positive behaviour support.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff to ensure each pupil reaches their full potential.
About You:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally within a school or care setting.
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach, with a genuine passion for making a difference.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Chalk Education).
