SEND Teaching Assistant – South Liverpool

Location: South Liverpool
Start Date: After Half Term
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND Secondary School in South Liverpool. The school caters for young people aged 11–19 years old with a range of complex learning needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs).

About the Role:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis to help them access learning and develop life skills.
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored activities to meet individual needs.
• Promoting independence, communication and social skills through structured routines and positive behaviour support.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff to ensure each pupil reaches their full potential.

About You:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally within a school or care setting.
• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach, with a genuine passion for making a difference.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Chalk Education).
