SEND Teaching Assistant

Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary setting in the Bootle area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting young people with special educational needs and making a real difference in their educational journey.

Role responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs.

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.

• Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

• Promote independence, confidence, and social interaction among pupils.

• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).

• A patient, caring, and proactive approach.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A genuine passion for supporting the development of young people.
