Chalk Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support a number of vibrant schools across South Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to play a key role in their educational journey.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties.
- Support the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to meet each pupil’s individual needs.
- Help to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that enables all learners to thrive.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting (essential).
- A caring, patient nature and strong communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to various learning needs and styles.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
