A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Enfield, EN3, is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism. This full-time, long-term position starts ASAP, and we want enthusiastic individuals who are eager to make a real impact.

The Role

  • 1:1 Support: Work closely with a Year 3 pupil, providing tailored assistance to boost their academic progress and personal development.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the class teacher and wider team to adapt lessons, ensuring the child’s needs are fully met.
  • Monitoring Progress: Record and track the pupil’s achievements, celebrating successes and identifying areas to strengthen.
  • Safeguarding: Always prioritize the welfare and safety of the child, adhering to the highest safeguarding standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant Experience: Demonstrable experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Autism.
  • Behaviour Management: Strong skills in managing and positively redirecting challenging behaviours, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to Inclusion: A genuine drive to help every child realize their full potential, embracing the school’s inclusive ethos.
