Are you looking for a fulfilling role where you can truly make a difference? Do you have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? If so, this opportunity could be perfect for you!

A specialist school in Camberley, dedicated to providing inclusive education for students with a range of needs—including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), behavioural challenges (EBD), Sensory Impairments (SI), and Physical Disabilities (PD)—is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential. You will provide tailored support, whether assisting with academic learning, offering emotional guidance, or helping with daily activities.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to suit individual student needs. Your role will involve one-on-one support, small group activities, and classroom management, ensuring every child receives the encouragement and assistance they need. Alongside staff, you will also help safeguard and promote the welfare of all students.

Patience, empathy, and creativity will be key as you help students develop their academic skills, independence, and confidence. A valid DBS and prior experience working with SEN children—whether in a professional or personal capacity—are essential for this role. Relevant experience could include tutoring, childcare, nursery assistance, sports coaching, or previous classroom support. If you do not have a DBS, we can assist you in obtaining one.
