Chalk Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary SEN school in the Winsford area. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team and make a real difference to the lives of young people with additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or care setting. The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support inside and outside the classroom
• Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
• Supporting pupils with personal care where required
• Building strong, trusting relationships with both pupils and staff

We are looking for candidates who:

• Are patient, resilient, and caring
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn
• Ideally hold experience or training in SEN, though this is not essential
