Chalk Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Wigan for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher.

This full-time position involves teaching pupils aged 5–19 years with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties.

The Role:

• Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching tailored to each pupil’s needs
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals
• Inspire and guide learners to achieve their full potential

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• A minimum of 2 years’ UK teaching experience (ideally within SEN settings)
• Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Compassionate, adaptable, and resilient approach to teaching
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
