Description
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), and Behavioral Challenges (EBD). Whether you're helping students grasp new concepts, offering emotional support, or assisting with daily activities, your dedication and enthusiasm will make a meaningful impact.
In close collaboration with the class teacher, you'll implement personalized learning plans, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet the individual needs of each student. Your role will include providing one-on-one support, leading group activities, and managing the classroom environment, all while promoting students' academic progress, social skills, independence, and self-confidence. You’ll also work alongside staff to ensure the safeguarding and well-being of children and young people.
A valid DBS and prior experience (whether professional or personal) supporting SEN children are essential for this role. Relevant experience could include tutoring, childcare, nursery assistance, sports coaching, or previous classroom support. If needed, we can assist you in obtaining a DBS.
