SEN Teaching Assistant 
Pay Rate: £95 to £110 per day
Location: South Manchester and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Long term, full time

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant? Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential?

Chalk Education are working with a number of SEN and mainstream schools across South Manchester to appoint dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

Roles will involve providing 1:1 support or working with small groups, helping pupils to access learning and build confidence within the classroom. The successful candidates will have experience supporting children with SEND, and will play an active role in promoting inclusion, engagement, and progress. Alongside school staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

The role will include using creative strategies to support communication, social skills, and emotional regulation. You will also be expected to encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment for all pupils.

To be considered for this SEN TA role you will need:

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs in a school setting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships

  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to meet individual pupil needs

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for the role

  • Commitment to safeguarding

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
