Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Camden, NW5, is looking for dedicated SEND LSAs to join their team and support their SEN pupils starting immediately on a full-time basis.
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants or Support Workers who can take on the following crucial roles:
- 1:1 Support: Provide dedicated support for a Year 7 student with Autism transitioning from primary school. This student attends mainstream classes and requires 1:1 support as outlined in their EHCP, including during breaks and lunchtimes.
- Group Support: Assist pupils with Autism, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour across Years 7-11. Your role will be to help them with appropriate language, attitude to learning, and maintaining focus. Some students also have Social, Emotional, and Behavioural difficulties.
These roles are full-time positions, Monday – Friday, from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. In collaboration with the school staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience with SEN: A solid background in working with Special Educational Needs.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills: To support students effectively in all aspects of their learning.
- Passion for Education: A dedication to making a positive impact in the educational journey of young people.
