A small and dedicated Medical PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in Wembley, HA9, catering to young people across Key Stage 2-4 who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to medical needs or require additional support for a successful transition back into mainstream education, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
The Role:
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and passionate Learning Support Assistant who can motivate and inspire students. You will be working with young people aged 11 to 16, helping them engage in learning while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils who present SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviour. TeamTeach training is highly desirable but not essential. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with complex needs and eager to be a positive role model, helping them make meaningful progress in their lives.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience working with SEMH and providing personal care when required.
- Experience supporting students in Key Stages 3-4.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- A genuine passion for education and a dedicated approach to nurturing student growth and development.
