Description
Chalk Education is recruiting a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1–KS4 SEN provision, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Ellesmere Port.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience supporting SEMH students and confidence working with challenging behaviour across KS2 and KS3.
Role Details
- Long-term, temporary position
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Term time only
- Daily pay rates from £95
Key Responsibilities
- Support SEMH pupils across KS2 and KS3 within an SEN setting
- Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
- Provide one-to-one and small group support
- Help create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEMH students
- Ability to manage and support challenging behaviour
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
