Chalk Education is recruiting for a teacher to work in a SEMH specialist setting to deliver a broad, balanced curriculum, differentiated to meet students’ individual needs.
This is a long-term role starting as soon as possible with a view to becoming a permanent position. Our client school caters for students aged 6 – 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs. All students have an Education Health Care Plan.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Recent classroom experience teaching students with SEMH needs
- QTS or another equivalent, recognised teaching qualification
- The ability to effectively manage behaviour in clear and positive manner
- A passion for supporting children and young people who are at risk of social exclusion and those who face barriers to learning
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
