A dynamic and inclusive Secondary School in the vibrant community of Beckton, E6, is currently seeking dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of students with special educational needs.
Job Description: The School are looking for experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistants or Support Workers who are committed to fostering a nurturing and empowering educational environment. Your roles will include:
- Personalised Support: You will provide essential one-on-one assistance to a Year 8 student with Autism, helping them successfully transition into mainstream classes. This role goes beyond academic support, extending to social integration during breaks and lunchtimes.
- Empowerment Through Education: You will guide and support pupils across Years 7-11 who have Autism, ADHD, and exhibit Challenging Behaviours. Your role is crucial in moulding their positive attitudes towards learning and ensuring that they have the support they need to excel. This includes students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
These positions are full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. As a valued member of our team, you will collaborate closely with committed staff to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our students.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils (11-16 years old).
- Outstanding behaviour management skills, with the ability to create and maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
- A deep dedication to education and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students.
