Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? A fantastic and welcoming primary school in Enfield, N9, is looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with Autism. The Role
- 1:1 Support: Work closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil with Autism, helping them engage positively in class activities.
- Implement Specialist Programmes: Follow teaching strategies set out by speech & language therapists and occupational therapists.
- Integration & Inclusion: Ensure a smooth transition for the pupil into mainstream classes, promoting social and emotional development.
- Safeguarding: Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, supportive environment for all children.

Requirements
- Proven experience supporting children with Autism (ASD).
- Previous experience working within Key Stage 1.
- Familiarity with PECS or Makaton (highly desirable, but not essential).
- A calm, proactive, and nurturing attitude.
