A vibrant ‘Good’ three-form entry Primary school based in Geenford, UB6,, is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support two Year 4 pupils with ASD. This is a full-time long-term role to start in September 2024.
Job Description
The ideal Special Needs teaching assistant will have previous a proven track record in working with children with Autism. The two pupils you will support do not have behavioral difficulties but require consistent guidance to stay focused on tasks assigned by the teacher.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide both pastoral and academic support, working closely with staff to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children. You should demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and have the ability to elevate levels of literacy and numeracy among the pupils.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience with ASD
- Familiarity with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- A dedication to and passion for education
