About the Role:

We are currently recruiting care workers to become part of a the team in a specialist school in Litherland, for children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities. As a care worker, you will be a key part of the team, providing dedicated, person-cantered support to students with complex needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical and emotional support to students with PMLD in line with their individual care plans
  • Assist with personal care needs
  • Support students in participating in a range of educational, recreational, and social activities
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching and care team to promote student well-being and development
  • Ensure the safety, dignity, and comfort of students at all times
  • Document and report on the progress and needs of students
  • Follow all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a care role, preferably with children or adults with learning disabilities
  • Compassionate, patient, and flexible with a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to work as part of a dedicated team and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and their families
  • A commitment to providing the highest standard of care
  • A DBS check will be required (we can assist with this process if needed)
  • Relevant care or education qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) are desirable but not essential
