The Opportunity
A warm, inclusive children’s centre in Harrow is expanding its Early Years team and is seeking a committed Nursery Assistant to start in September 2025. This is a long-term, full-time post—perfect for someone who wants stability, professional growth, and the chance to make a daily impact on children aged 0-5.
What You’ll Do
- Create a safe, stimulating environment that nurtures curiosity, play, and early learning.
- Support key-workers with planning, observations, and accurate record-keeping.
- Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Assist with personal care routines, mealtimes, and outdoor play.
- Maintain open, positive relationships with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary staff.
- Uphold safeguarding and health-and-safety standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous work or placement in a nursery, children’s centre, or similar EYFS setting.
- Qualifications: Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare.
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and up-to-date Safeguarding training.
- Soft skills: Warmth, resilience, clear communication, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
- Availability: Able to commit Monday–Friday, 8.30 am–4.30 pm, for the full academic year (and potentially beyond).
