Are you passionate about working in SEN?
Do you have experience of supporting students from Primary to College age with ASD/SEMH/Challenging behaviours?

If the answer is Yes, then we could be offering you the opportunity to work within an school based in Wigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in the classroom and during individual sessions.
  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their emotional and social development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals to implement support strategies.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Support with personal care

Requirements:-

  • Minimum 2 years experience within SEN (Ideally SEMH / ASD- challenging behaviour).
  • Experience in a school/care/residential setting.
  • Be able to work 8.30-3.30pm Monday to Friday
  • Be able to use own initiative and want to help students progress.
  • Be willing to be flexible.

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
