Chalk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Northwich to recruit a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a Year 2 class, starting in September 2026.

About the Role

You will be working closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning within a Year 2 classroom, providing both whole-class assistance and targeted support for individual pupils or small groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy development
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development

Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – essential
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Knowledge of Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, patient and enthusiastic approach
