Learning Support Assistant

Location: Liverpool L18

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: From £85 per day

Chalk Education are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a full time position at a primary school in South Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and make a positive impact on young learners.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be required to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with children who need support access the lesson content. They will help children to engage with the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence. The role requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. The position is full time, with an initial trial period. The right candidate will be considered for a long term/permanent position in the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering educational programs tailored for children with special needs.
• Support students with autism by implementing individualised learning strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with children in an education setting.
• A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting children.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
