Chalk Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school that is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

In this rewarding role, you will help empower pupils with mild learning needs, ensuring they receive the personalised support they require to thrive. From offering targeted 1:1 and small-group assistance to actively engaging in classroom activities, your enthusiasm and commitment will help shape each child’s confidence and progress. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will also play a key role in promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and an inclusive learning environment for all students.

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome applicants with hands-on experience supporting children in any capacity—whether within a classroom, youth work, coaching, tutoring, childcare, or even through personal parenting experience. A valid DBS check on the Update Service is required (but don’t worry, we can guide you through the process if needed!). Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is highly desirable, but not essential.
