Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

• Daily Pay Rate: £95

• Temp to Perm Opportunity: Potential to secure a permanent role with an annual salary of £24,000

You will be supporting pupils aged from primary through to college level with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated challenging behaviour. The role is dynamic, hands-on, and requires a strong presence, patience, and a trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils overcome barriers to learning

• Deliver structured teaching and positive behaviour support

• Provide targeted interventions and mentoring support

• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support pupils across all aspects of school life

• Monitor and track pupil progress, giving regular feedback

• Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD and behavioural needs

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Passion for supporting the personal and academic development of vulnerable learners
