Chalk Education is excited to be working with a fantastic primary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire, highly regarded for its Support for children with special educational needs (SEN). We're proud to be supporting them in their search for a dedicated Learning Mentor—someone with the passion, empathy, and experience to support children with mild additional needs. As a Learning Mentor, you’ll play a key role in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse range of students, including those with mild SEND such as Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. The role involves providing tailored support to individuals or small groups, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally. Whether you’re assisting with classroom activities, delivering one-on-one interventions, or working closely with teachers and parents, Learning Mentors are vital in empowering students to reach their full potential.

Experience supporting children and possessing a clean DBS are essential for this role, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the students. If needed, we can assist you with obtaining a DBS. If you have previous experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), that's fantastic – it's a bonus that is highly valued! Your relevant experience could come from a variety backgrounds, whether it's in a similar classroom setting, tutoring, sports coaching, childcare, or even personal parenting experience!

The Role: Learning Mentor
