An enthusiastic and forward-thinking mainstream primary school in Camberley is seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Mentor to support pupils both academically and emotionally. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and thrive in a positive and inclusive environment.
As a Learning Mentor, you'll be at the forefront of creating a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere for a diverse range of students, including those with mild SEND. The role involves providing tailored support to individuals or small groups, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally. Whether it's assisting with classroom activities, delivering one-to-one interventions, or working closely with teachers and parents, Learning Mentors play a vital role in empowering students to reach their full potential.
Experience supporting children and possessing a clean DBS are essential for this role, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the students. If needed, we can assist you with obtaining a DBS. If you have previous experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), that's fantastic – it's a bonus that is highly valued! Your relevant experience could come from a variety backgrounds, whether it's in a similar classroom setting, tutoring, sports coaching, childcare, or even personal parenting experience!
