Description
Chalk Education is excited to be recruiting three outstanding Mentors to join us in a highly rewarding and genuinely unique opportunity supporting pupils across Wigan.
We are seeking compassionate, energetic individuals with either professional or personal experience supporting young people who may face SEMH challenges, low school attendance, school refusal, trauma‑related barriers, or difficulties with social and emotional development.
As a Mentor, you will become a trusted, stabilising presence—someone young people can depend on. You will help them grow in confidence, manage their emotions, develop social skills, and navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Your support will create real, visible, and lasting impact.
You will work with a diverse group of KS3 pupils, adapting your approach to meet their unique SEMH needs and helping them progress within a safe, nurturing, and empathetic environment.
This role is varied and flexible, involving travel to homes, schools, and learning centres depending on where support is most effective.
You will plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions—bringing warmth, creativity, and encouragement to every interaction, ensuring each young person receives the dedicated support they deserve.
